What does the booking process look like?
Once you've submitted your enquiry, I'll send you a short introductory questionnaire to help me get to know the two of you, your story, and your wedding day. This gives me a better understanding of who you are before we even meet.
From there, we'll book a discovery call where we'll chat about your vision, what you're looking for in a photographer, and what it's like to work with me. I'll share more about my photography style and approach, learn how you met, what drew you to Kamaialei Photography, and answer any questions you may have. Together, we'll explore the collection that best suits your celebration and ensure you feel confident in your investment.
Once you've decided to move forward, I'll send your agreement and retainer invoice to officially secure your wedding date.
As we get closer to your wedding, you'll receive a comprehensive wedding questionnaire designed to help me plan every detail of your experience. This includes everything from your engagement session vision and preferred style: whether that's romantic, playful, editorial or timeless to your wedding timeline, ceremony details, getting ready locations, family combinations, must have photographs, important traditions, supplier information, emergency contacts, and everything else I need to ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible.
My goal is to take as much off your shoulders as I can, so you can feel relaxed, present, and confident knowing every meaningful moment has been thoughtfully planned for.
How many images will we receive and when will they be delivered?
Every wedding is unique, so there's no fixed number of photographs. I carefully curate and edit every image, delivering the moments that best tell the story of your day.
You'll receive your beautifully edited gallery via a private online gallery, where you can download, share, and order professional prints. My typical turnaround time is 3–6 weeks, with a selection of sneak peeks delivered 48hours after your wedding so you have something to relive while you wait.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! I photograph weddings throughout Auckland and would love to travel for your celebration.
Travel within Auckland is included in all wedding collections. If you're planning a wedding elsewhere in New Zealand or overseas, I'd be honoured to be part of your day. Simply get in touch for a personalised travel quote.
